Volunteering for Groups

Volunteering for Groups

In addition to our volunteering sessions, we also have opportunities for private groups to get involved and have regular dedicated sessions with our excellent garden team.

We will always be as accommodating as we can be to welcome group sessions to the community garden. For one off visits, we can usually incorporate this into our staffed hours at the garden.

However, if you would like to make group sessions a regular occurrence, we offer a competitive pricing structure for groups to enjoy private sessions. Your session will be led by one of our skilled garden team members to structure activities around the interests and abilities of your specific group. There is also the option to take on an area or raised bed as your own project, so your group can take ownership of a space, to plant what you like, and watch the garden grow!

Please get in touch with our staff team to find out more.

Group Sessions for Organisations

We run private group sessions for local organisations including Interest Link and Uniformed Groups such as the Scouts or Beavers. Our paid sessions are ideal for one off visits when a group wants to come into the garden for a specific purpose – a badge, learning about plants, herbs or an outdoor learning experience of your choosing! They are also great for having multiple sessions across the whole year, so you can observe and take part with the whole process of growing – from seed sowing to harvest.

Corporate Volunteering

We welcome local people and organisations to visit the garden for corporate volunteering opportunities. We offer a range of gardening activities to suit your interests and availability.

Growing Together – Group Sessions for Individuals

We will shortly be offering 1-2-1 gardening sessions for adults with additional needs as part of our new project “Growing Together”. Our brilliant Garden Volunteer Leader, Helen, will lead dedicated sessions for clients to experience all aspects of gardening in our community garden. Helen is SSSC registered and has many years’ experience working with clients with additional needs. If you would be interested in finding out more please get in touch with Helen for a Growing Together information package.
