Our excellent team is passionate about supporting local people by providing volunteering opportunities and activities which are inclusive and engaging.
Each member of our team brings their own enthusiasm and expertise to our garden.
Greener Peebles was established in 2012, our community garden opened to the public in July 2013 and we gained SCIO charitable status in June 2019. We were previously known as Peebles CAN before we changed our name in 2022.
We are always interested in hearing from driven and enthusiastic individuals to join our Board as Trustees.
Our Trustees are invaluable in providing support to our organisation, growing our capacity, and strategic planning. In addition to providing leadership and review of current projects, the Board offers support to the staff team and approves change and new initiatives.

We work with volunteers of all ages and abilities, who benefit from attending our sessions at the community garden. Around 300 volunteers work with us each year.
Volunteers are invited to monthly volunteer meetings to share ideas and feedback with staff team, also regular surveying of volunteers We hold regular community consultations approx. every 18 months to advise on project planning, so our volunteers are very involved in the design and delivery of all our projects.
